Adobo Seasoning
Adobo is a versatile seasoning used in Latin and Caribbean cuisine. This complex seasoning is a staple for many Latin dishes and is used as both a dry rub and a marinade. Therefore, its versatility has made its way into American cuisine as well as Latin Fusion and Caribbean fusion.
Its mixture of Latin spices imparts a traditional south of the border flavor without being too hot. Adobo spice blends vary depending on the region of origin. Our Adobo is an authentic Mexican blend that is very flavorful but doesn’t pack too much heat so it can be enjoyed by many. Using our fresh Adobo spice blend in you next Latin or Caribbean style meal will really impress.
To make Adobo sauce, blend Adobo seasoning, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, olive oil and fresh squeezed oranges or orange juice and diced onions and blend until smooth. You can use this mixture as a marinade for meat or you can reduce over heat to produce a sauce. Use this recipe as a guide and add your own twist to it.
Our signature Adobo can be used as a dry rub to spice up bland vegetables like corn and potatoes. It’s a great addition to roasted street corn as well as roasted potatoes. Adding our dry Adobo seasoning to various dishes really kicks things up a notch.
