Ghost Chili Pepper
The Bhut jolokia is also known as Ghost Chili Pepper, ghost pepper, and ghost chile is a hybrid chili pepper from the Northeast Indian.
Dr. Paul Bosland is director of the Chile Pepper Institute that is a international non-profit organization. It was established in 1992 at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. To educate and research related to Capsicum or chile peppers. In 2007, The Guinness Book of World Records officially recognized the Ghost Pepper grown at the Chile Pepper Institute as world hottest pepper. Dr. Bosland collected the seeds of Bhut Jolokia during his 2001 visit to India.
The ghost chili Pepper is more than 1 million Scoville heat units (SHUs). The ghost pepper was short live as hottest pepper by the Infinity chili in 2011, followed by the Naga Viper, the Trinidad moruga scorpion in 2012 and the Carolina Reaper on August 7, 2013.
